Account Your account & sign-in

Creating an account takes an email, a password and your name. Your schedule and logbook live in your account so they survive a new phone and stay in sync with the web logbook.

From Settings → Manage account you can change your name, password or email at any time, and sign out. You can also delete your account entirely — this permanently erases your account and all its data from our servers.

Import Importing & viewing your planning

There are three ways to bring your roster in:

• From a PDF — open your roster PDF and the app reads it entirely on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded for processing.
• From CrewLink — sign in on Luxair's own CrewLink page (opened inside the app) and your roster is fetched for the dates you pick. Default range: today through the end of next month.
• From Safelog CSV — bring an existing logbook across from the Logbook screen.

Once imported, your duties populate everywhere. Choose the date range with native date pickers (shown as dd/mm/yyyy), and cancel any time before connecting.

Dashboard Your day at a glance

The first tab is your operational snapshot:

• Today — your current duty. Once the day's flying is done, it rolls forward to show what's next (tomorrow's duty, a day off, standby…).
• Next flight — the full route with country flags, e.g. 🇱🇺 LUX ✈ 🇪🇸 BIO ✈ 🇱🇺 LUX, with block times and number of legs. Tap it to jump to that day.
• Drive to next duty — when enabled, live driving time from where you are to your departure airport. It hides while you're on duty and returns once you've landed.
• Expiring soon — licence and recency items coming due.
• Open flights — appears when you're on standby (see below).

Planning The calendar view

The Calendar tab shows your month as a grid, each day colour-coded by duty type. Swipe left or right to change month, or tap Today to jump back.

Tap any day to open its detail: every leg with route and flags, scheduled times, block times, the crew, and duty/flight-time totals. From a flight day you can open the Briefing or send the day to your logbook to complete it later.

Logbook Your flight record

The Logbook tab is a clean EASA-style record built from your flown sectors. Each entry shows the route with flags, times, aircraft, role and take-off/landing counts.

• Edit a flight — tap any entry to adjust times, crew, take-offs and landings, night landings, approaches, passengers and fuel, leg by leg.
• Aircraft & Pilots — your own reference lists, used to fill entries quickly.
• Statistics — totals, fuel and consumption, longest/shortest sectors, destinations by country, breakdowns by aircraft and by captain.
• Export to PDF — a print-ready EASA FCL.050 logbook in A4 landscape, opened in the share sheet to save, email or AirDrop. Pick any date range, or use the presets.

Briefing Pre-flight weather & information

Open the Briefing for any flight day to get, for each airport on the route: METAR and TAF, NOTAMs, digital ATIS, and — if you add a FlightAware key — the filed route. A freshness indicator shows how recent each report is, and new items are flagged.

Everything is cached on the device, so a briefing you've opened stays readable without a connection. The app queries public aviation sources with the airport code only — never your name or account.

Currency Deadlines & duty limits

The Currency tab has two parts:

• Deadlines — licence, medical and recency items with their expiry dates, sorted by urgency so nothing sneaks up on you.
• Duty limits (FDR) — define your own flight- and duty-time limit rules (rolling windows like "100 hours in 28 days", or calendar windows), and the app scans your published roster and flags any window that would exceed them — including windows already planned in the future.

Sharing Sharing your schedule

Sharing is off until you turn it on. From Friends you invite a colleague by email and choose exactly how much they see:

• Availability — only whether each day is free or busy.
• Availability & times — plus your duty start and end times.
• Full schedule — plus flight numbers, airports and times.

They get an email invitation; once they sign up with that address, your shared schedule appears for them automatically. You can change or withdraw a level any time, and it's enforced at the database level — not just hidden in the app. Your logbook is never shared with anyone.

Standby Open flights when you're on call

When you're rostered on standby, the Dashboard shows an Open flights card. It lists flights over the next three days that still need crew, read from Luxair's CrewDoc, and highlights the positions still open in red.

• Set your aircraft type and positions (CPT, FO, Purser, CA…) in Settings, and the Dashboard shows only the flights relevant to you.
• Consecutive legs of the same aircraft are grouped into a rotation (e.g. LUX → MAN → LUX) so you see the whole loop at a glance.
• Filter by day and by aircraft type, and see every detail — block times, passengers, cabin load, position — as tags.
• Results are saved on the device with the time they were fetched, so you can glance at the last check without re-scanning.

Connect How CrewLink & CrewDoc sign-in works

Both connections open Luxair's own official web pages inside the app, and you sign in yourself, exactly as in Safari. The app never holds a Luxair session of its own — it only reads, on your device, what your crew account is already allowed to see.

To save re-typing your login, you can optionally store your Luxair credentials (staff SSO and CrewDoc "Crew Access"):

• They're kept only in your iPhone's Keychain — never on our servers, never in the app's database.
• They're used only to pre-fill the Luxair login form; you still tap Sign in yourself.
• You can clear them any time in Settings. Skipping this is fine — you just type your login on the Luxair page each time.

Alerts Notifications

Q400 Flyer can remind you of two things, both scheduled locally on your device (no push server, no notification token):

• Check-in reminder — a heads-up before your report time.
• Time to leave — when drive-time is enabled, an alert timed to current traffic so you leave with enough margin to reach the airport.

iOS asks your permission the first time; you can turn either off in Settings whenever you like.

Settings Making it yours

Settings gathers the controls you'll set once and forget:

• Drive time to duty — turn it on, set the driving-time threshold and a safety margin.
• Open flights — your aircraft type and the positions you want to be shown on standby.
• Luxair sign-in — optionally save your SSO and CrewDoc logins (Keychain only).
• Time zone — for how a friend's shared schedule is displayed.
• Manage account — name, password, email, sign out, delete account.
